‘Hamilton is a landscape painter of great skill and sensitivity. Her colour pallet, although muted and naturalistic at first glance, contains flashes of vivid brilliance. This exuberant sense of colour, coupled with her exhilaratingly gestural brush work mark her out as an artist of exceptional talent.’ (John P. Quinlan, The Vangard Gallery. 2008)

Judy Hamilton

Judy Hamilton is a graduate of the National College of Art and Design, Dublin. Judy furthered her study in fine art at the Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology. She is now based between Dublin and Dromineer, Co. Tipperary; where her beautiful bright studio is located in the rolling fields, beside the shores of Lough Derg. This is often the inspiration for Judy’s textural and atmospheric landscapes. Judy also completes yearly residencies in the Ballinglen Arts Foundations studios in Mayo.

Judy has exhibited in private and group shows in Ireland and the USA. Her work also can be seen in many private and corporate collections throughout Ireland, Europe and USA. Judy has won many awards for her abstract paintings.
